Taking Me Apart – (re) introduction (2009)

I donated this piece to the SPACE (St. Philip’s Art in the Community Experience) art auction. Last weekend, the Space held a fundraising event with the singer Erykah Badu and the leader of the New Black Panther Party, Malik Shabazz in attendance. Local Dallas artists donated work to be auctioned off to help raise money for the SPACE.

A total of $9,305 was raised from the event, $5,225 was general contributions and $4,080 was raised from auctioned art work. This piece was purchased by Ric Martin. Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to meet Ric, but thank you Ric for contributing money to a good cause.
